"Campbell's Soup Cans" by Andy Warhol

The main reason which triggered me to write about "Campbell's Soup Cans" relies on my excitement about that wonderful human being: Andy Warhol. As a painter, publisher and movie producer, Warhol had become the number one name on the wave of Pop Art. After his moving to New York, his life had a very extraordinary and rapid change . It is possible to call that change as a "paradigm shift" for sure, because he actually started to introduce one of the most controversial way of art to the entire world which is known as "Popular Art" or with another saying "Pop Art". According to my opinion, Pop Art is not something under the name of fraud. In fact, the main idea is about expressing both objective and subjective opinions in different versions, versions which express person the most. That originates the diversity but it also brings unity as well. In that sense Andy Warhol is one of the most influencial artist in my mind, not just because he introduced Pop Art, but also his multifunctionality is impressive! It is possible to  observe the effects of modernization, industrialization and popular culture on his artworks. "Campbell's Soup Cans" is one of the most well known oil on canvas works of him, which contains a huge meaning inside, for me. The first thing which is pretty understandable is that the ingredients. Even the cans are on the same size and shape and belong to the same brand, their ingredients are different from each other. For my opinion, this is a symbolic understanding of theacceleration of industrialized society. With a relation to that Warhol might saw society as those soup cans. "Even people look like the same, souls are different". In that sense as Warhol said "Everything is art." So, cans can be art too. For more info: "What is Pop Art"
